We spent our first day together creating lush bridal bouquets, and walking the streets of Florence with the gorgeous Carlotta, posing for the beautiful images below. With a city so full of rich history, and rustic architecture it was hard not to fall in love.
Earlier this year I traveled to California to Yosemite National Park with Kaylea from K.R. Moreno Photo, where our sweet couple Jaimie and Bryant wanted to have their engagement photos. I’ve traveled to many beautiful places all around the world, but Yosemite literally took my breath away.
Wedding trends are constantly changing, especially when it comes to the floral design aspect. From the rustic babys breath in mason jars, to the roundy moundy Hydrangea arrangements, to now the very popular organic styling, theres no denying every couple of years we see an abundance of changing trends. I personally love to design all of my arrangements more organically with lots of movement and texture to mimic what we see in nature. This allows my work to remain timeless despite the ever changing trends. While this more organic and wandering style looks effortless, it can be intimidating to design, so I’ve put together 4 easy steps to help you achieve the same organic garden inspired floral arrangements.
For this shoot we were inspired by modern black and white elements, and a refined bridal jumpsuit. We designed this whole shoot as if it were an engagement dinner with a beautiful table scape, hanging floral installation, and bouquet. I chose ceramic vessels in shades of white and grey to keep with the modern and refined style.
But before I send that one out - I need to speak to those of you who are working from home. Those of you who have little ones running around while you are simultaneously trying to build your own business. Those of you who are preparing lunch for your kids while you answer client calls. Before I can share with you my tips on a successful work day - I need to speak some tough love to YOU. Are you ready?
One of my favorite weddings from this year was Kayley + Christian’s. Not only were they such a sweet couple, but they had great style as well! Their venue, Waldenwoods in Howell, Michigan was nestled within a gorgeous campground, with the venue itself overlooking the water.
